Timothy E. Gardner

Dr. Tim Gardner is a long time resident of Montgomery County and graduated from The Woodlands High School in 1983. He attended The University of Texas at Austin, where he received his BBA of Finance. He then graduated with Honors from the University Of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1991. While there, he served as Class President for his final three years. He was also one of five students selected to participate in their pre-doctoral implant course where he learned to place and restore implants.

Dr. Gardner is passionate about the art and science of dentistry and realizes the impact he can have on people’s self-esteem, confidence, and overall health. He truly enjoys serving the people of Montgomery County for the last 25 years.
Dr. Gardner is one of only 271 dentists in the nation who has earned his Fellowship (LVIF) from the prestigious LVI Institute. Due to his commitment to continuing education, Dr. Gardner is able to treat patients who are suffering from chronic head and neck pain, TMJ/TMD issues, sleep apnea, bad bites, etc. This dedication distinguishes Dr. Gardner by proving his dedication to quality of care and a desire to master complex procedures in order to provide the best comprehensive care for his dental patients.

In addition to the LVIF, Dr. Gardner has also earned his Fellowship of the Academy of General Dentistry and is a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, American Orthodontic Society, and American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He is currently pursuing his mastership from the Las Vegas Institute and Academy of General Dentistry, as well as his diplomat status in the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine and American Orthodontic Society.
When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Gardner enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, playing tennis, golfing, water skiing, hunting, gardening, and doing just about anything outdoors.

Carissa Fox – Treatment Coordinator & Business Team Leader

I have been in the healthcare industry for almost eight years, and I began working with Dr. Gardner in 2017. I enjoy working with Dr. Gardner and seeing him live out his God-given talent. His compassion and drive to care for his patients are outstanding qualities to witness. Working for him has given me the opportunity to not only help broaden my knowledge of the dental field but to really expand my character traits in such a positive manner, as we give back to the community with our charity events.

In 2012, I earned my associate degree in applied science. I became a registered dental assistant in 2018 by attending the Montgomery County Dental Assisting School. I am also certified in CPR and have experience in medical coding.

I was born and raised in Mississippi and moved to Texas in 2016. I am happily married to my husband, Luke, and we have two beautiful daughters, Avery and Abigail. During my free time, I enjoy reading books, being outdoors, and spending time with my family. I also enjoy checking out all the local festivals.

Susan Istre – Financial/Insurance Coordinator

I have been working from home for over a year now and I really enjoy my job. This gives me the opportunity to spend more time trying to make sure all claims are paid in a timely manner. I like my job and I feel I am a good asset to our team.

Outside of work, I love spending time with all six of my grandchildren, watching them play baseball, football, and riding their horses. My favorite pastime is traveling, especially to the beach. Just give me a chair and a book, and I’m set to go!

Kristen Miller – Receptionist

I joined the team in June 2019 as the receptionist at our Conroe location. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with such amazing, passionate individuals. It is a privilege to work together with a group of people that truly works together as a team! I enjoy getting to know our patients and feel confident that they get the care they deserve. I love the fact that Dr. Gardner gives back and does so much for our community.

I am a resident of Montgomery Country and have been all my life. I have two amazing children; my oldest is currently a U.S. Marine. During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my youngest child, coaching softball, and making memories by just enjoying life’s precious moments. Life is too short not to live your best life!

Rachel Burrough – Dental Hygienist

I am from Conroe, Texas, and graduated from Conroe High School in 2000. I took three semesters of basic courses at Lonestar College and decided to move to Colorado Springs with a few friends. While living there, I went to school for dental assisting at Intellect Medical Institute. Although I loved living near the mountains and enjoyed time outdoors, it just wasn’t home.

After completing the dental assisting program, I moved back home and worked as a dental assistant for six years. During that time, I continued my education at Lonestar College to become a dental hygienist while raising my first child, Ayden. I received my associate degree in dental hygiene in 2013 and have been working for Dr. Gardner ever since. Becoming a dental hygienist was my goal for several years, and I now strive to perfect my skills, continue to grow in my profession, and provide excellent care to our patients.

Dr. Gardner is passionate about continuing education and training for our team in order to provide the absolute best experiences, care, and dentistry for our patients. Our team is one of a kind and we aim to exceed our patients’ expectations. It’s a blessing to work for someone who cares about giving back to the community. Dr. Gardner has two annual volunteer events; one to serve our veterans (Dentistry for the Vets), and the other to serve the less fortunate of Montgomery Country (Dentistry from the Heart).

My husband and I have two beautiful daughters, Adalynn and Ariyah, and my son, Ayden. Aside from the busy life of work and home, I enjoy Bible study, spending time with my family and friends, camping, hiking, nature, and traveling when I have the opportunity.

Tenille Fritsche Riley – Dental Hygienist

I am native to Conroe and have been with Conroe Comprehensive Dental Center since 2001! As a hygienist, I love getting to know my patients and look forward to seeing them at their continued care appointments. I take my role as a “dental disease prevention specialist” very seriously, and I am happy to offer advanced services to combat periodontal disease. I tailor my professional recommendations to meet the specific needs of each patient because no two patients are alike. I am very passionate about what I do, and I consider myself an educator and a motivator! I will never criticize or lecture my patients. I love each and every one of them and take care of them as if they were members of my own family!

On the subject of the family: I am happily married with a beautiful daughter, a wonderful stepson, and a Labradoodle named Simon. In my free time, I love making art, playing piano and guitar and I’m currently learning cello!

Oly – Registered Dental Assistant

I have been in the dental field for 10 years and began working for Dr. Gardner’s office in 2012. The dental assistant position allows me to communicate and interact with patients. I enjoy helping patients overcome any concerns about their treatment and explaining the technologies and materials we use. I am also very happy to help patients who speak Spanish

I love the way all of our patients become part of our dental family. Our practice is dedicated to providing the best dental care to all patients. During my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband and two kids, playing any outdoor sport or just relaxing at home watching movies.

Lisa Taedter – Dental Hygienist

I was born and raised in Southern California where I received my degree in dental hygiene. I have been actively practicing for 26 years now. I graduated as a top clinician of my class, and then went on to teach clinical dental hygiene and UCLA Dental School Clinic for several years while also working part-time in private practice. Shortly after that time, I accepted a position as State Board Dental Hygiene Examiner for six years with the California Dental Licensing Board. It was an honor and a privilege to work in that capacity, and I developed such an appreciation for my profession and the rigorous journey that dental hygienists endure becoming licensed providers. I have always enjoyed working to help improve the oral health of my patients while also educating them on how our oral health is directly linked to our overall body health.

After getting married and moving to Wyoming, I worked as the executive director of United Way for three years (as there were no hygiene positions available in my area). My husband even noticed how I just lit up when a new dental practice in town opened and I began to work there—I was back in my place of passion! Five years later, my husband accepted a new position and we moved to Nebraska, where I started working at a private practice in town. In 2017, after losing my husband, I moved to Texas. I traded my snowshoes for flip-flops, living outside for most of the year without fear of blizzards or road closures!
